And why show slalom - it's dull compared to downhill.

Beer in chalet hotel was about 2.50, and elsewhere anything from 3.50 to 6 or 7, depending on where you were and whether it was Happy Hour (or two hours in some bars). Best value for lunch we found in AdH itself was Le Lac Blanc - by the DMC gondola and under a Neilson chalet. We had a decent snack lunch plus a drink for 12 euros for the two of us. Auris en Oisans was quite reasonable too. The restaurant at the DMC mid station was much more expensive however and it was 40 cents to use the loos! If you make a picnic lunch, there seemed to be plenty of places to sit and eat though. Hope you have a great holiday.

Not a bad price, the answer is shop around, don't pay the over inflated prices just because you on holiday 8)

Pablo Escobar wrote:I heard the secret to P-Tex is heating the area you want the p-tex to bond with, ie-the base of the ski.

What sorta kit do you have/would you recommend for starting off?

I do my own Pablo, don't have any problem with P-tex ensure the ski is clean with a citrus based cleaner and ensure the candle is well lite and then it's down to your steady hands.

You will need a set of vises, an iron, brushes, an edger they is loads of good stuff on the internet, get on to the swix site for a good video presentation, I'm sure you have an old set of skis somewhere in your Columbian garage to practice on.
