I think now it would be wise to buy them, just in case. It also seems that they are really going for it with the speed cameras too. :evil: I used to drive quite fast through the motorways in france when they were clear early in the morning, however, now after reading the AA sie it seems that they now have a purge on "nailing" the heavy footed motorist. :evil: mmmm, I will probably take my time this time. Just for clarification then, as I am driving to France on Thursday, currently if I drive in France without a breathalyser I will be fine and will not get a fine? Is that right? TP |

moving back on track...
I am 5'11 and use 173 all mountain skis, however after reading this thread I am wondering if I should use a shorter more agile ski as I do like to play in the trees alot? The 173's can be a little hard work in those circumstances, however, I do like to go fast on an empty long piste :) |

Hi Old Andy I think I know what you mean, its those early ski legs.
From the first moment of clicking in the boots to the skis and pushing off to the ski lift the initial wobble comes then on to the lift looking forward to the first run. next you push off the lift, get together, and then.... the first run..... Why do the skis seem to control you instead of you controlling the skis. Being a confident skier I still wonder why that first run is so different to the hugely confident, attacking, downhill, exhilerating run 1 week later for the last run of the holiday. Why? understanding the snow? confidence? early ski legs??? However, I do know what you mean. |
