Like as Trencher said, its going to be really hard on your legs if you were doing that all day. You can ski on the inside ski to realise your edges on it, or to pratice finding your edges with the inside ski. For instance, if your not getting the edges with the inside ski this would be a great drill to do to find the edges to improve your carving. But yeah if your skiing with just your inside ski, then your legs may hurt.
p.s. sorry about the post last night, was really tired when i got home and i dont think i made much sense |

Yeah i remember learning about the new pressure system and its in the basi manuals. Now im not too sure about the old system of learning about the pressure of the inside ski when carving.
What i learnt about carving from a level 4 BASI instructor that Carvig is just latheral movement with absolutly no roation of the skis, applying pressure on both edges at the same time making sure that your balance is centre. While all the time remembering to Streceth and flex.Im not sure if i explain it right, its one thing to say it out loud and then another to write it. Also you have to make sure your hip doesnt drop or your shoulder I havent done much carving lately, just teaching beginners most of the time |

Maybe a radar to tell you when some high speed skiier or snowboarder is coming at you, or Thermal settings on the goggles, though im not sure if they work in cold conditions

I would also reconmend getting lessons on a dry slope. just to even get the basics down good. Over in England, wales and scotland there are many different ski centres. Far more then in Ireland(2 centres), so a couple of lessons wont do any harm
