No. In any case it's yesterdays technology that has now been superseded by the Bolt Wax Future infrared waxing machine http://www.bolt-wax-future.com/ . This has been in use here since 2005 and is now marketed worldwide as the Montana Wax Future http://www.ski-service.com/Produkte/Machines/Handmaschinen/WaxFuture/tabid/1180/Default.aspx?language=en-US it is used by all the major ski manufacturers to wax their world cup race skis. Whereas hotboxing only really works with soft base prep waxes, this method can also be used with harder glide waxes. Some of the smaller manufacturers are also using it to wax their consumer skis.

The German word for queue is Schlange, which is also the German word for snake. That could explain why they are often a bit constricting. ;)
Buzz Short Skis

They are probably made by Sporten http://www.sporten.cz/eng/home/ in the Czech Republic. The Buzz Atom has the same dimensions as the Sporten Flash and the other models look like Sporten junior skis.

This clause might have been inserted after the insurance companies were hit by claims for search and rescue by the friends / relatives of people who went missing after leaving the pub, AFAIR there have been a few of these incidents in recent years.

Whatever the reason for its inclusion IMO it makes the policy completely worthless. Adequate search and rescue cover is essential if you're visiting any mountainous region.
Ski Boot tweaks

That was a fantastic price bandit, the plates alone cost CHF 30 a set here and 6 hours of a boot fitters time costs CHF 300, the total cost generally works out at about half the price of a pair of performance boots.

Sorry Trencher, you're absolutely right the photos do greatly exaggerate what can be achieved by adjusting the cuffs unfortunately they are the only ones I have.

Tony, if adjusting the cuffs doesn't cure the problem and you have to have the boots or bindings canted it would be a good idea to have your fore-aft balance checked at the same time.

Trencher, the photos are only to illustrate the procedure. If you look closely you will see that they are not of the same person and the boots are also slightly different.

Adjusting the lateral alignment of the boot cuffs is easy enough to do (canting the boot soles is a costly specialist job), but it does require two people. Take the inners and footbeds out of the shells, loosen the bolts that fasten the cuff to the shell, place the footbeds centred in the shells and stand on them, buckle the boots as you would for skiing and get someone to adjust the cuffs until the gap between the leg and the shell on each side is equal then retighten the bolts.

Verbier recommendations

If conditions are good, the L'Éteygeon itinerary from the top of the Greppon Blanc 1 drag lift down to the Hérémence valley road (there's a bus back to the Les Masses chair lift) and the Vallon d'Arbi, from the bottom of the Lac des Vaux chair lift to the La Tzoumaz bubble are well worth doing. Allow plenty of time as a taxi back to Verbier will be very expensive.

If you want to do some more challenging off-piste it might be worth getting a freeride map http://www.freeride-map.com/index.php?lid=2&cid=200
