As you know I have a split personality one half says " why don't you pop off to Kitz for a few days " the other " stay in Italy, France Andorra, Norwich...... Not Austria.

As you can appreciate it is a very difficult decision, which we will make when we all agree :mrgreen:

You know, you really should learn to read :roll:

I SAID, the instructor asked her/his brothers whether 'it' was a he or a she. Naturally his brothers (who were in the same ski class as well) knew that he was a 'he'. The worst of it was that they said they'd tell him that I'd thought he was a girl all week. And they were absolutely rolling about laughing at me.

I couldn't tell because 'he' was only young, and 'he' was called 'Fred' which I thought was short for Frederica, because my morning ski instructor was called Fred and she was definitely female - French and short for Frederique.

It was quite one of the most awful things I've ever done, and should he ever read this, then he has my most abject apologies - I am a very stupid person.

I'll second that one :mrgreen:

AllyG wrote:Well, suppose I'd said 'her' or 'she' or something, it would have been very embarassing all round.

Last ski holiday, only a few weeks ago (seems like a hundred years ago now), I skied with a girl in my class all week, and only discovered at the end that 'she' was a 'he' and even then it was only because the instructor asked her/his brothers whether she was a she or a he.

He wouldn't have to change his name by much, just put in the apostrophe, i.e. make it 'kite'nski' or something like that.

How did you know she was a he did she/he have a beard :shock:

Maybe he/she should change their name?

How does that work then Wickers?

Especially as some skis are "handed" when they come out of the factory :mrgreen: :D

Mistress Bandit I have had a response from my ski supplier and it reads ;

Dear Mr. Wickham,

the skis are not marked left and right. They are both the same and you may use them as you want to. Of course you can mark them by yourself specially when you're racing that you know which is the inside edge. It depends on your demands.

I hope I was able to help you!

I actually quite like the bit where my mate Kerstin says "specially when you're racing"

Maybe my new found mate at Fischer will supply me with some freebees :shock:
