For 10 people maybe try to hire a bus.
www.telsearch.ch will get you all the phone numbers you need in Switzerland. |

Over here you'd be hard pushed to get cheaper then the train which is 144CHF return from Basel to Davos Dorf.

Like Tony says no resort can 100% guarantee opening dates.
However, St. Moritz usually tends to open with a ski race through the streets on the last weekend in November. They also have glacier skiing in Dievolezza which opened already in October this season. Due to the altitude (the town is at 1800m) they can usually start to lay down snow for the pistes quite early. I've been mountainbiking up in the ski area in mid October in the past and they already had the snow cannons ready to be turned on. It was 3 degrees up there that day a few degrees colder and they could have been laying cover for the pistes. Enjoy the Kampinski, the closest I have ever gotten or will ever get is the campsite about 300m out the road from it. |

Did you get to do the round tour?

Flumserberg is fine providing you go on a weekday. It is by far the easiest resort to get to from Zurich and for that reason it gets super crowded on the weekends though so you may be better off going slightly further to Pizol or going to one of the resorts in Graubunden.

Are you staying in St. Moritz itself or one of the nearby towns? St. Moritz itself is super expensive, but if you stay in Celerina or Silvaplana you get better value for money and ski in the same area. The scenery up there is stunning, the skiing is great and the towns in the area have a pretty nice Swiss feeling to them. St. Moritz itself is nothing special and all the glamour and glitz happens behind the closed doors of the expensive hotels.
