Only one sensible post - from Roger.
Dry slopes will find out poor technique. They are great for practice, and perfecting your technique. I'm sure some slopes are in better nick than others, but they are the only option for many, and far cheaper to ski on than indoor snow. Maybe we're lucky, but Snowtrax at Hurn is really well run and have just replaced the matting on the main slope. |

Is climate change affecting the way Londoners buy skiing holidays?

Who outside the south east cares about what Londoners think?
They're just a bunch of fools who haven't seen the light yet! |

Isn't Geneva to any of the french resorts almost impossible by train, even those french resorts that are very close?

It would have to be La Thuille - much as I love the 3 Vallees, Brides is (IMHO) a dump of a valley town, and the thought of the bubble each way up to Meribel would put me off.
Still each to their own! :D |

Whistler, Meribel, Zermatt or St Anton would be my choices.
Chalet work is great if:- 1. You work for a small specialist 2. You are time efficient and practiced cooks & cleaners I know it is a long time ago, but our record when working chalets was being out the door at 9.10 am having provided breakfast, cleaned all rooms, cooked and laid out afternoon tea and prepped dinner. It did help being a blue sky powder day, our 4th season, and a chalet for 8 guests with 2 of us running it! If efficient, in a chalet you should be able to ski 5 days a week from 10am ish to lifts closing. |

Has anyone used Ski Holiday Extras for purchasing lift passes?
Are their discounts worthwhile? Does their delivery to your accommodation actually work? Cheers! |

I'm with Bandit on this one, plus I've lost the bottom part of a few poles smacking them on the boot! One pole ends up about 110cm long and the other remains at about 125cm!
It matters not what the top looks like, it's all about the inside and the base! |
