By 'long words' do you mean "Booooooiiiing" ? ) I thought Trencher explained that very well and in an easy to understand way :D |

I think something might be being lost in translation here.
A standard binding mount would in my opinion be midsole but it does depend ,I guess, on the ski and also what is meant by 'mid sole' ..... just to confuse things more  Just out of curiosity, what piste ski are you getting that doesn't have a rail mounted binding? |

Its often easier to date older skis by looking at the bindings. Marker M46 was circa 1993 from memory. I'm afraid they are worth next to nothing.
Years ago a friend of mine worked in a ski shop workshop. He was called out into the shop by the manager one day and asked if he could do anything with an old pair of skis that a customer had brought in for service. He looked at the skis and then at the customer and said "Well, I suppose I could cut 8 inches off the back of them" The customer looked a bit shocked and asked if that would make them ski better. My friend looked at the customer and said "No, but it'll make them fit in the skip better. |

And doesn't it look great :D From the webcams it looks as good as it did when i was there 3 weeks ago. I'm planning on going prepared for all weathers when I go back on the 16th. Last year at the end of April there were some big snow falls, on the other hand it could be really hot but my advice would be to keep covered up even if its really hot. You don't realize how sharp ice crystals (slush) can be until you fall in them at speed in a T shirt. When are you off Caron-a ? |

Thats a blast from the past :D
My first thought about the skis was: Hmm, interesting Then I watched all the videos on the website. Once I heard the bloke say that he wanted to make skiing more enjoyable I thought: nah, you just don't get it. Is it because I'm getting older that I don't understand the idea that making something easier makes it better, that instant gratification is better than working hard to master something :?: |

I'll get my coat  |
