Thanks, those are fond memories at Mont Orford and Jay.
Now that I am getting my sense of balance back, I fondly recount the envy I had of those early freestylers that use to come shooting out of the glades prologued by a shrieking yodel, legs bent back at the knees and skis tucked up behind their back as they took air coming on to the main trail. (a 360 reverse?) Do you folks have any advice as to how I can learn that kick trick? Always wanted to learn that without breaking my neck.... or my skis. :XD: Ta OldNev |

Ta Pavel,
Actually, I am relying on my poles less and less. The boards are carving beautifully and make the mogels joyful to ski. Easier to ski in them actually. Don't need the old jetstix anymore! remember those? OldNev |

Hi,
I live in Longueuil (montreal south shore near the number 10 autoroute) and am looking for a lift (allez-retour) to Bromont week-days and or night skiing on week-ends. Be glad to be picked up and dropped off at Autoparc. Gar |

thanks! I guess memory will start me off setting and un-weighting which will be inconsistent with the ski design and cause me to over-turn and crank an ankle...... will keep what you say in mind. Thanks for the advice about Owl's Head too!

I haven't skied in 25 years. I use to ski advanced intermediate verging on expert but could not quite handle the double diamond runs. The other posts discussing the difference between carving and skiing parallel are great.
For those who know the difference in practice could you let me know what to expect the first time on the slope? I have a pair of Dynastar Skicross66 with Rossignol Axial 2 binding and a Sally Performa boot cranked forward. I use to ski on Kazama's with a Look N77 binding, then skied on Dynastar FPS Equipe along side a 200cm very stiff Blizzard, a Koflach SXL boot. The Dynastar was far too soft for me. Thanks for any advice, OldNevada |
