Well all this made me find out for myself...I use the RBS cover that comes with my extra payment to my account...really good value as I do use the car breakdown and the mobile phone cover is useful too..I find that I have to take my policy document with me when I travel so I have ordered one and will read the cover details with interest,,It also made me look at my 'European Health Card' ...and i found that it had expired last year..didn't know they had a sell by date..you can renew on line ...I will read the conditions thoroughly and let you know

It seems to me that French ski apartments are getting the same reputation as Ryanair

Ours in La Plagne was OK for 2 but it slept 5 but it was privately owned,,
I know they have to make a profit but the cost of provisions is eye-watering ..the €2 litre of milk ,,the €1.9 can of beans and the gold plated chicken at €22 a kilo....is there a French word for value...nd of rant

I was in Montchavin last week and really enjoyed the area..there are some lovely long runs down to it..mostly through the trees ..and there was lots of snow...there are 4 lift passes the cheapest is for just the Villages at €154 which if you are a beginner or early intermediate would be great as there is a lot of skiing ...the next is for all of La Plagne @ €214 which is enough for most people for a week..the next is the discovery @€237 which gives you a day in Les Arcs..( I bought this one..I thought La plagne was better) and the most expensive is the full Paradise ski pass @ €254

Came back on Eurostar last week (premier ) and really enjoyed the experience ...got on at 10pm at Bourg (excellent pizzeria over the car park) and arrive St Pancras ..7am ...managed 5 hours sleep..going out was better ...plus 8 days skiing

I might consider the coach ..so long as I can have extra leg room
