We were not staying in a hotel but the campsite - think two man tent and Vauxhall Nova! You had to pay for warm showers and most of the Germans didnt!! Ja das is sehr gut!!!

It is a lovely stop over and if you can stay in a hotel even better!

Got the big depression now as my last snow fix was on Monday after four days in St Martin so got to start thinking Sailing and Summer Holidays now

After yours and Tino's report i just might stay in Baden- Baden, I'll have to speak to Mrs W

BTW It's snowing really hard at village level right now, and it's sticking too 8) I expect all the little alpine flowers that had popped up are wishing they'd not bothered!

Just thought I'd share that with you all :D

Hubby has his own business and I work long hours in quite a demanding business for a national Pharmacy chain. Hence why we have booked a relaxing week away in the above villa, cant wait.

Very nice Rose, the last time I stayed in Lefkas we had an Earthquake

Is it nice there Ian? apart from the earthquakes

Yes it a very nice island, I stayed in Nidri the island is quite big on wind surfing and flotillas of sailing boats having a stop over, places worth a visit is Meganisi nice little place. we hired a boat for the day just a small motor boat and visited lots of nice nudist bays/beaches we used to motor in around the headland watch the nudists run for cover they must have hated us as we headed back out to sea.
Mind you our visit was pre child so I'm guessing somewhere around 1995 I'll have to dig out the photos...

I have always used the babelfish, when I have translated stuff from French to english, It is not perfect but it is readable.

I've heard that said before. What perplexes me is if the person who says that speaks the other language well enough to judge how readable it is then why do they need to use Bablefish to start with?

ise don't get perplexed over it , it is just how I cope with my ignorance of not learning another language.

Agreed it is not the perfect translation, and I would not want to translate anything for business using babelfish, but it suffices for a holiday booking.

It really, really doesn't, they produce language that's nearly unreadable and it's always obvious where it's come from. If you can do a greeting and sign-off in the host language that's going to look just fine, forcing someone to decode what ends up as nonsense speak can be irritating.

"Rip it up a little" sounds like snowboarder speak to me, Bandit are you on the turn

I'll have you know that I took snowboard lessons in Scotland and England, and did a tiny bit on the tray in California before deciding I really didn't like it :D

The weather forecast looks promising.. 8)
