No more sleeps :) arrived in London Thursday night, saw my new skis that were sent to my daughters from Sport Conrad, WOW.Yesterday went to S&R & bought some new boots & bits & bobs.Off to LGW at 12 to meet up with 9 of the group, flying at 3 to Innsbruck then down to Obergurgl for the week. Just hope I can handle the new gear or will be selling it on here :( . As I wont be online during my boring ski trip -) I would like to wish all those going out within the next 2 weeks a very happy & safe skiing holiday & hope the snow conditions are awesome. 8)

monnydite wrote:We are coming to Austria for some skiing in a couple of weeks. We are staying for 10 days and are staying at two different apartments... 7 days in Zell am See and the last 3 days in Kaprun. Is the tourist tax done on a daily basis as the 2nd apartment owner is saying that 9.10 euros per person per week is due, when we will only be staying 3 days?

Just google it, the information is a bit grey but it should be a daily tax

Oddly enough I've a pair of Five Seasons salopettes and they have proven to be more durable, breathable and waterproof than more expensive brands I have owned.

Whilst I confess to have been hypnotized by the contents of the salopettes in front -) that has never been influenced by the label!

I certainly agree with all that you have said ...... I have Sallo's and ski tops
of said make cheap and of excellent quality , Little W had a Five Jacket and
Sallos warm and again excellent quality

When I was looking around for a booking at the end of last month, we went into an Independent TO in Norwich and although very pleasant they could not do anything I could not do on line ...... not surprised but very disappointing.

Have a couple of private lessons before you go is always a good thing if you are a beginner it saves you time when your out in the alps on some of the more mundane things that beginners have to do in lessons.
