Coming back from Plaine Dranse on the chairlift I was looking at the huge cracks and gaps between the slabs of snow slipping down the side of the mountain grass and vegetation showing underneath so no base to speak of at all. Avalanche risk is maximum here ..signs everywhere ..and ..you guessed it, two skiers trying to jump over the rifts in the snow.

Avoriaz closed because of too much snow!! lol they are bombing the mountain day and night and its still snowing !!! That snow dance really worked
Snowb4ndit has driven to work in Chatel but has taken her skis just in case!! Nice way to commute! |

Snowed here in Morzine today (1000m) and is well below 0 tonight ..light frosting in the village and heavy snow on roofs of cars coming down from the mountain

Thank you Bandit ..I was just about to reply in that vein...when you are kneeling in a foot of snow and your hands have turned to claws and you cant find the red bit to clip to the yellow bit ...and Snowb4ndit opens the window a fraction to say "Hurry Up!" and then closes it but you can still hear the smothered laughter..
