Thanks, Laura and AllyG.
As well as exercise for the tendon, ankle etc, I'm also exercising my right thigh and calf to rebuild strength. It's interesting to observe how the shape of ankle has changed with a great lump of scar tissue changing the whole configuration! Will ease myself gently into my boots for a trial in a week or two's time! |

I skied in Thredbo, Perisher and Blue Cow back in 1989. The lift pass prices at all three were expensive compared to European lift pass prices, even when taking into account exchange rates etc. The only good value was Perisher/Blue Cow did include parking at Bullocks Flat and return trip on the excellent SkiTube.

Valmorel is the most child-friendly resort I've been too. Compact faux-village, loads of apartments, all sorts of ski-ing.

Paul: have booked the Otztal shuttle (which should be easy!) and the shuttle/train/bus via Otz railway station as a back-up. |

Thanks; I think the World Cup races are this weekend! Just looked at webcams - fair bit of snow overnight and this morning (which is nice!)
No non-skiers in my group, by the way! |

Try the Hotel Glacier in La Thuile; brilliantly-run. clean hotel. Quiet but extensive and surprisingly challenging slopes. Dead easy to get to, off the motorway beyond Aosta (there's another option, with skiing in Pila) and up a mountain road from Pre St Didier.
