Maybe you arent fussy about where you sit, Ise, but I am, and I know a lot of other people who are - which is proven by the so called scrum you mentioned.

no I'm not fussy, on the plane is perfectly good enough

a bit mild there Ross  it's not inefficient, it won't work

oh yes, we like big, fast turns :D more grin per metre of descent, scientifically proven :D along with more powderey goodness per turn on the standard international scale :D

As a general point, there's no such thing as a little off piste sadly, someone died here over the holiday period only a few metres from the piste in an avalanche and less than 5 metres from the drag lift.

but why bother? I think I fly about a dozen times with them last year and I can't see the point getting involved in the scrum, it's not like there's not going to be a seat for you  When it comes down to it, the "allocated seat" on other airlines is no better or worse than just strolling onto the plane and sitting down, it's not like you get to allocate it yourself or screen who you're sitting next to, in the latter case you've a better chance picking your own seat after the scrum's calmed down.

Hopefully we all know about the hi-vis jacket required in France now (on the spot fine), but did you know a First Aid Kit is compulsory in Austria (though not, surprisingly, in France or Germany apparently)?

The Auberge is a bit out of town, and across the other side of the ski area from Le Chinaillon - so you're probably looking at meeting in Grand Bornand if you've got transport?

Zoom out on the Google Map for the Auberge here.

I have, it'll be the first time I've used the car since early Dec' I should trade it in for more skis :D

Thats almost funny when you see the way many foreigners drive when they visit the UK.

presumably they set out with the advice as long as they were good drivers they'd be just fine
