That was most impressive, as Stewart Dowling said :)

Let's hope this particular travel agent does a good job :D

I reckon.it was a simple Google search for the definition?

Travel agents in my experience save a lot of time and pain. I would never rule them out

I would hazard a guess that Tony knows that.

Think he was expecting the sarcastic reply of, 'no need to use one of them, they rip you off and are no use....'

Too many replies to quote:

TH - you can see my problem now. I dont pack loads. The opposite. Wear and use everything I take. Always take travel versions of toiletories etc. I have a lot of medication that I need to take so that adds a bit of weight. Am yet to weigh my ski boots though!

I take at least 3 pairs of ski socks and have no problems. Generally while I am wearing one pair, there is another in the wash (washed in the shower with me at night)

Would you wear the same pair of socks every day at home?

and there in lies the problem - I do not have a "ski bag". Just hold luggage. So the reason your bag rarely exceeds 15KG is because you put your straighteners in with your skis?

Tony_H wrote:Yep, 20kg including boots is plenty for a week. The key is use your ski bag for your ski clothing.

No sarcasm intended - what else would I put in there?

I wonder how Iceman skied without his ski socks on though.......

I had my usual "work" socks on - simple short black ones.

I was driving to the top of the super morzine lift and I always take my socks with me so at the end of the day I can have some fresh ones to drive back in or go to the pub - I suffer from sweaty feet, but that is another story.

That day, got to the top with no socks. Instead of going back, thought "stuff it" and wore the socks I had on. They were fine - apart from being a bit short.

So my question - how thin are REALLY THIN socks?
