I think you are spot on with this. It's about market positioning, and Salomon can make "punter friendly" skis, useable by lots of skiers.
Chatted briefly to a guy in Switzerland last month. 1st pair I'd seen being used. His verdict: really good off piste in the trees, not so good on piste.

I love reading the comments on this forum.

Can't wait to hear about Wickers experience in Austria (or Mordor as he likes to think of it!)

I have just goggled "Mordor" ..... Lord of the blasted rings, not read any of Tolkeins rubbish since I was forced to read "The Hobbit" for O level English Lit,

Did they have books then? I thought everything was on slate? ;)

Unfortunatly they did and ink wells, desks with lids, cockroaches and rickets, hooping cough and steam trains it was great back them

Did you pass the Eng. Lit. Wickers? How about the Lang? ) Anyhoo, you can be ahead of the game, now Rickets has made a comeback. How about that Wickers :P
Duh, they turned up in the TravelMail today, sloppy journalism

Posted 9th Jan. On Facebook, also on Twitter. Very gentle slope angle, should dispel any myths that avalanches only happen on steep slopes.

Turn on the sound and consider if you think the person holding the camera was right in their safety judgement.

Many Swiss Spa's have this policy and many Europeans believe that it's more healthy to not wear clothes in a Sauna.

Travel Mail has the best giggle. They are claiming that the well publicised photo of a road in Japan is now Ischgl.....who apparently have now switched to driving on the left
