For the uninitiated, most tartans have two versions, Hunting, (green), and Dress, (red)

I have only ever heard of Haggis Hunting :P

I wish you hadn't just said that, I'm sitting here deciding what to buy from the supermarket for dinner and now I want haggis!!!

Well pointed out Dave, usually a hunting tartan is not worn for a eveningwear, however it is more commonplace these days and is perfectly acceptable for a wedding.

Steady Bandit, I wear the Robertson kilt, myself.Just for weddings and skiing, though.

I wear a Mclean of Duart Hunting tartan, and was lucky enough to go to Duart Castle in September with my daughter, got some excellent piccies.
