Sking DIY Style

The major thing that bothers me about DIY is the potential of cancelled flights and misses flights due to transfers.

Remember the thousands stuck with the ash cloud? Or the horrendous delayed transfers last year due to massive snowfall? At least with a TO you will be transported home, DIY and you are on your own.
Is it just me?

Plagne 1800 by train arriving 9 Feb.

Webcam watching and sleep counting can officially begin.

Heres the ones that i used when i went to La Plagne. We are Skiing again on 9th Feb, first choice is La Clusaz but it looks like the apartments i was thinking of have now sold out :-)
We enjoyed Belle Plagne when we went and could be a possibility that week too.....See you in The Spitting Feathers for a beer?

A pair of boots sat next to each other in a bag is too large, which is 99.9% of boot bags. Does anyone know of a bag that complies. Boots on top of each other in the bag will do it. Straps that can be used as a rucksack would be great. Frustratingly most online shops don't offer the bags dimensions. I have found one bag that possibly complies. There is a gap in the market. :?:

Pack them in your suitcase that you check in and use your hand luggage allowance for other things like gloves, goggles, etc. you can't pack ski boots any better or safer than that.

Agreed.

I always put my boots in the hold, jeez they are so heavy i wouldn't want tyem in my ruck sack.
They have been in my suitcase and more recently i pack them in my ski bag with my skis and poles.

Don't forget that ADH is south facing so despite its altitude advantage it still may suffer late in the season.
Of the ones you suggested Flaine would be the logical choice. Closer and north facing.
