Tried these babies, loved 'em and finally took the plunge!!!

They are light, stable and plough through the crud. I've always been a traditionalist and thought wide underfoots were for the park, but hey, sometimes technology rocks!!!!

Brilliant deal from German web site and arrived in 3 days!

Am I allowed to mention sellers?

Brilliant. And I loved the music!! Just bought the Eddie Vedder album. Superb!!!

Dave Mac wrote:On the other hand, Rainmaker is spot on with Calculus of Manifolds methodolgy ~ this being employed within Euclidian Space Theory. It is better treated with differentiable manifolds ~ these are embedded within Euclidian Space, and are at a level that can be understood by many.
Moreover, a differentiable manifold is a topological manifold. In addition, it is more common to define Euclidean space using Cartesian coordinates, eminently suitable for describing ski turns in a geometrical situation.
So, well done Rainmaker on that one.

Thats exactly what I worked on during my season in Soldeu. Although I did alternate between Euclidian and Bacchanalian Space!!!

Hey Twofish,

That photo of Roger looks like El Tarter just below the ski school. Did you have a good time in Soldeu/El Tarter?

Kirsty,

Sorry to confirm OldAndy's diagnosis but I'm afraid its true. Grandvalira closed today.

I have had communiques from locals bemoaning the fact that they will be looking out their windows tomorrow morning at pristine powder snow with more due all week!!!

I guess unless you plan on some ski touring, head elsewhere!!!

Dont worry Stee. Mountain will be open. As most tour operators have finished for the season some of the pubs may be closing, but you will definitely be able to ski!!!

Enjoy!!!

I'm not back in the uk yet but I know just how you are feeling. I cannot imagine now, not being in the mountains for the whole of the ski season. I can't bear the thought of only being able to ski once, twice or even three times a year.

Some might say I have gone bonkers, and if that's true I don't care because I'm having the time of my life!

Life is short snowb4ndit, and any skier who has the opportunity should do at least one season somewhere!!! Its just the best!!! :D
