Great you had a good time and it was a bit of an epic but worth a read. Waiting an hour for a Gondola would be enough to put me off going anywhere.
I will see what I can do...
Well I did my best and called in some favours for you, thank me later

My knowledge of physics extends beyond what you are giving me credit for Mr Mac. I said the appropriate force not that the force applied be the same for each ski assuming all the other variables (velocity, angulation, gradient of slope etc) remain constant. I believe it was quite clear in my earlier post that the force required to engage either radius would be required to be different.

I've been skiing about a year like you and I go to Chill Factor in Manchester. Also like you it has become my most favourite thing to do. I'm hooked.

So anyway, freestyling. Did you get any tuition or did you just throw yourself on some rails/jumps and hope for the best?
Once I get back from my holiday in February (The missus won't let me go before then in case a break something) I'm going to be going to some GROM Camps at chill factor. It's basically a bunch of professional freestylers doing some mass coaching. £30 for 3 hours including all slope fees. Don't know if you have heard of it but I'll attach the link to their website. I'm pretty sure they run them up in Scotland too.

I will give you my 2c. Go for it yourself, start small and build up, just make sure you are using the appropriate equipment/wearing the right protection. Obviously lessons would speed up the process perhaps to the point where you could continue on without lessons but it can be done without.
