My Son is in Dubai for a month but its a working holiday with a view to moving out there. He says its a wonderful place.

As for Corfu, the only place I would go to there would be Paleokastritsa.

Kefalonia is high on my radar for next year, but I think you would probably like Paxos, Ios or Santorini seeing as you are not so much of a beach person!

Thanks Tony. I do spend a bit of time on the beach but easily get bored. But I did find that as it was hot and the water so nice it was easier to do. What region are you thinking for Kefalonia? Its still very high on my list and the couple of hours I spent there it was fabulous. It just had a good feel about it. So I will probably be looking at Fiscardo area, I could have spent all day there. Did you have a car while in Santorini or was it easy to walk around there? We had to have a car in Lefkas, this way we went about three quarters of the way round the island.

Thanks Bandit its a great help. It is looking a distinct possibility the saving for us flying from Bournemouth would be brilliant.

Hi Bandit with Corfu really just which are the best parts to go to. Dont want a load of clubs and drunks. Maybe some-where we dont have to hire a car. I loved Lefkas but apart from the beautiful sea and island scapes and the beaches not to much else. Would like a few interesting landscapes, landmarks ruins etc.
