EmmaEvs, Glad to hear the book is increasing your confidence already. The more you read it, the more the jigsaw snaps into place. Take it with you on your trip as bedtime reading, pending of course your alcohol levels )and you will be hucking before long :D |

Yes, You won't be wanting another pair then  The Volki Unlimited AC20 has been getting some very good reviews although it comes in at £450 with bindings. You may be able to pick up a pair cheaper on the internet. One tester has indicated that the AC20's are "'Fun on soft snow and you can really push it on hard pack. Powerful, effortless turns, good edge hold and it's great at speed.' |

Tony,
What about the Scott Neo Skis, these come in at about the price range. Mind you, the Klothoid shape might blow Dave's mind! ) |

Broom,
If you go to his website Sofa Ski School and send him an email he will advise on his location for the coming season. He is a nice guy and will discuss your requirements. ) |

I hope it helps, its not an easy read but if you dip into the chapters and take what you want or are looking for from it. I know people who swear by it and read it every season prior to their skiing trip. Good luck its worth a try. :)

In my defence Dave I am not a lover of ski-speak and I do not take responsibility for the above techno-ski-speak. This was taken from the advert part and parcel however, cutting through all of the bull. These are a fine pair of ski's as judged by test reviews I have seen and read. In fact, Trencher who owns a pair will no doubt endorse them. These were suggested as an option that Tony may wish to consider on the basis that for the price and technological features incorporated they are a bargain. However, as we know if you buy a child the latest toy they obtain more fun from playing with the package! ) I'm sure Mr Klammer would do them justice and I would certainly like a pair if I could afford them. :) |

Tony,
They are still selling these on Bargain Boards at £369 All mountain performance skis for intermediate/expert riders looking for that extra bit of power Palmer's FLF Klothoid plus race-style construction know no limits when it comes to ripping these bad boys down the mountain. The core's titanium and Prepreg Sandwich construction give the Palmer P02 the strength of a high-end race ski that goes as fast and hard as you want to take it. Titanium is distinguished by its maximum torsional rigidity, optimal stability and unique precision. The result is tenacious edge grip on hard, icy slopes for carving smooth precise turns. This ski really hits the spot for expert skiers looking for ultimate agility and speed in any terrain while the FLF Klothoid shape helps make the intermediate ride like an expert These ski's come with mounting plates, so you can easily slide on a pair of bindings without any specialist drilling or fitting. The binding plates are compatible with Tyrolia and Head bindings.* Hope this helps ) |

For many people its a confidence/psychological issue. I agree with the one to one private lessons but this may be assisted with a book such as "Inner Skiing" which has helped many people to break through this mental barrier and become very good skiers. :)
