No, I have not skied the 48 red but I saw some very good off piste skiers coming down the black 49 run Today in hip deep powder. I was green to say the least  Never seen anybody coming in from 48 in the last two seasons however, it is marked on the map.

OH now using bathroom, so ok. I have skied the Madloch red route last year on most days. With powder on it it's fine although it does become moguled. My boys skied it this week and said it was a challenge with icy stretches and at the end of the run its a 100m uphill walk to the furka however, the Furka is very handy for the chair and bus. It's only 15m walk to where you can ski down to the chair or catch the bus into Lech. The Furka is a cosy chalet with great hosts. You will be looked after. I suspect the Madloch run will be fine once it is opened again. Hope the helps :D

Hi Biki,
The Madloch red is the best unless your very competent off piste in knee high powder. I have got to get ready for dinner but will post some further information Tonight. |

Conditions.should be brill. Run down into Zug closed Today due to avalanche rating. Had to get the bus back from Lech but great skiing. -) |
