Looks flash but on closer inspection he's a bit in the back seat and has a problem with his pole plant. He seems to be planting behind his boots. Not a technique I'm familiar with. Actually, his poles look too big for him!!

Oh, and glad to hear you are working out!!
(Sorry Dids, I love a play on words!!) |

Cheers Tony, it was fantastic to ski every day. I've been asked since coming home if I got bored with it!! No skier has asked the same question!! :D
And yes,I had a weekly gig in a bar called the Harp. Thats one of the things I like about Soldeu, and I dont mean ME playing, but the live music in the village. Theres always a sing song of sorts going on. Perhaps thats a thing that France, Italy and North America could address. I've always found it a bit difficult finding anything there. Austria, well, nuff said!!!! |

Yes Dave, back to full fitness and throwing myself around the slopes like a young thing. Dont really do photos,or facebook, but I'm told there are photos of me playing guitar in The Harp Soldeu on that facebook thing.
Had weekly traditional Scottish/Irish set every Wednesday. Went surprisingly well, even with the English tourists!!! |

Well, thats me back from 4 months in Soldeu. No tongue in cheek reports this year!! Its enough to say that the season was fantastic, the snow superb, and the vibe around the village was absolutely brilliant.
I hope everyone has had a great winter wherever they went, and heres to next winter!!!(Although I've not ruled out a trip to Chile this August with the CSIA!) :D :D :D :D :D |

Well it is interesting!! More interesting than my dull existence. I never had the chance to live and work in Chamonix when I was young as I was too busy working and rubbish like that. Enjoy the season, and I hope your skiing improves as much as you hope. I would advise,as have others, that you start off on the right foot, or feet, and get lessons. Its more difficult to iron out problems further down the line. |
