I know - I'm now down to only reading one snow report a day for France as Alpe d'Huez looks so good but constantly check 4 different snow reports for Luton to help guess if we will be able to fly out of there on Sunday morning.

The childens schools are shut. The great thing about being a skier is that they are fully covered and protected in suitable snow gear. I cringe when I see the kids in soggy jeans and no gloves! Off now to unpack our suitcase and put on our sallos etc. for a play in MK snow.

Can't believe we have spent the past months checking and praying for as much snow as possible in our respective ski resorts but are now having to check snow levels in the UK so we can actually get to our resorts. Fingers crossed for no snow at Luton on Sunday.

What ever I tell my friends, or not - I'm looking forward to meeting up with some other J2skiers. Everyone on the site seems friendly and to meet others with tips and advice on skiing and the area can only be a good thing. See you all next week. :D

I'm pleased you say it is not a hard black. On Christmas eve I tore a disc in my back and am going for an intense course of physio to get me skiing next week. Thy physio said the best he can do is get me onto reds but not blacks or bumps. I'm sure if you say it is an easy black the physio can't complain if I give it a go!! :D

When I recover from last night and can get my head together again, I'll PM you and Tony to arrange meeting up on the Tuesday. :-)

Happy New Year to all J2Skiers. Will try to remember to follow the advice of others here and have a quiet night in and an early night next NYE. Thankfully 9 days till we ski - Today I could barely get down the stairs, let alone a mountain! Got to wear dark shades. 8)

..... I'm a J2SKI addict. We are a group of 7 adult and 8 children going to Alpe d'Huez on Sun 10th Jan. I hope to meet a few other J2ski'ers whilst there. I've told my husband this, he is happy with this and will accompany me. But how do I tell my friends we are off to a pub to meet some strangers we met on the internet? They are either going to laugh at me or just quietly think I'm mad. Should Mr HB and I sneak down the pub on our own or is there a way of explaining to friends I spent the whole summer checking for snow flakes that were not going to arrive until autumn?
