Scottish skiers will happily see Cairngorm go to the wall. They have been chased away ever since the funicular appeared.
Aviemore fortunately has reinvented itself as a summer resort, largely ignoring the decline of the ski facilities.

Reliance on the funicular was always going to be the death of skiing at Cairngorm, as the other lifts were allowed to fall into disrepair and even removal.
An ill conceived vanity project like so many from politicians these days.

Grandvalira is not extending, although the snow will remain here well into the summer. However, give the political machinations going on here, it would appear they don't want customers any more anyway!

Approaching the end of another fabulous season in Soldeu. The snow is still in fantastic condition, its really cold and more is forecast.
Where is this sunny, low altitude spring skiing of which you speak?
