Who wears a helmet?

The closest I came to serious injury was a drunk Dane who carved my pole in half which was inches away from my leg. But a helmet wouldn't have made a jot of difference there.

I hear these stories of "this bloke I know" and so on but they're so few and far between I'm still convinced that nothing requires me to wear a helmet. You could fall over walking down the high street and bang your head but you wouldn't go shopping in a helmet. I know this discussion goes on and on and everyone's got their own views, but i still see no reason for me to wear a helmet or for anyone to tell me I should.

And thats all good, i sincerely hope thats the story of your life.

This is exactly why they are a good idea, although i fully respect everyones own personal choice.
Personally i don't really enjoy wearing a lid, i'd much prefer a bobble but there are too many factors out of my control, mainly other skiers. You simply cannot rely on others to be as careful and respectful as yourself. And if some crashes into me full pelt then i would prefer to be better equipped to handle the impact.

If i were alone on the piste and just cruising i would probably just wear a bobble but as i do not own my own private mountain.....i wear a helmet.....mostly.

bandit wrote:Snapzzz, it was me that took and posted the photo you've referred to. The owner of the helmet who is a pal, received a grazed forehead from the rock point. And quite a shock when he saw the damage.

Do you still have it? Maybe worth reposting?

Accidents happen, fact of life. I'd rather wear a helmet now than look back and wish i had.
I saw a pic once, on here i think, of a sharp piece of rock embedded in an helmet after a fall. Not pleasant.

What the heck is going on here in ADH?
Check out the car.
A bit of french tomfoolery? I think someone is in for a surprise when they return to their vehicle.

Best one i had was in Flaine last year, we met in the pub and had a few beers with the rep. Really informal.

My toenails always seem to go a little funny after skiing. This was what happened after Flaine last year:

Do you think my boots are the wrong size?

I'd email or call them, mine arrived in about 14 days.
Check to see if they have charged your card.
