Strangely enough, even if you try googling 'foragonal' all you get is what we've said here - so maybe this particular ski instructors course made up the word themselves!

Ellistine,
Watching it, I was really worried something was about to go horribly wrong. Your new wife must be very brave - well done. That's one holiday activity definitely off my list! Ally |

Ian,
This instructor was female, that's why I said 'she', Ally |

Ise,
The problem is, I've found, that you don't get a choice of instructor (for group lessons I mean), so you have to work with the one that you're given. And none of them seem to appreciate my argumentative style (surprise surprise!). I can remember once, I told the instructor in a lesson, that you push the snow with your skis when you turn (in answer to one of her questions), and she laughed at me, and said no you don't. I thought to myself, well, where do all the moguls come from if you don't push the snow, but I didn't say anything because I don't like people laughing at me. Ally |

Pablo,
I hope there is plenty of snow, and you have a great weekend, Ally |

Rose,
you mean, you've got to work when you're ill with chicken pox? How awful. Poor you. Ally |

Rose,
What a dreadful thing! You mean I might still catch it after not getting it for all these years ... How horrible to be labelled as a 'carrier', someone like 'Typhoid Mary' in the U.S. in 1900, except that chicken pox isn't nearly as bad as typhoid. Ally |

Rose,
How selfish! Suppose us mothers behaved like that, and left our little darlings to fend for themselves when they were ill, in case we caught it. I don't ever remember having chickenpox myself, and my mother neither remembered or kept notes concerning her own children (typical G.P. I believe), but my whole class went down with it when I was 11 and I didn't get it. Both my kids have had it as well, and I never caught it. So maybe I have had it - either that or I have some amazing natural resistance to chickenpox. I think people do generally only get it once, although they can get it several times. Anyway, I hope you feel better soon, Ally |
