nah... just all the ones with those hideous high rises ! I don't know what all the fuss is about them, they just look depressing! There are plenty enough villages that are perfectly pretty, but people only seem to flock to the high rises like sheep!!

Most Not all

Just the purpose built ones...Walked from Lake Geneva to the South Coast once, walked through nearly every ski resort along the way - There are more pretty villages than you'd realise :D If anything it's mostly villages and few Purpose builts - like Tignes le Lac... Eyesore! just they're so horrible you remember them more...

Your wise person as you seemed to have by-passed Avoriaz

Insiders wrote:Christmas skiing is great, but I do advise doing your research thoroughly, and don't be fooled by 'only going high altitude'... this is total rubbish... Most people will be crammed on to the tip of the highest resort they can find, because they beleive it's the only place that'll have snow...don't fall into this trap.

I live at 1300m, and there's always been more than enough snow for the resort to open early, or at least on time. If you're smart and do your research properly you will find there are some bargains to be had.

It's snowing in my resort now... told you it's not all about altitude!

And your resort is .......... ???

a secret... I don't want to be seen as a plugger, needless to say it's a very pretty village in a huge ski area, at approx. 1250 -1300m

No idea could be any where, I live in Mulbarton does not mean I am promoting it
