2010 Gear Test Camps - Autumn At Tignes

Ian,
I think that might work out a bit too expensive for me.

Maybe I should look into different types of skis and boots myself. I usually just take whatever they dish out, and only complain if I get sore shins, or whatever, and ask them to give me different ones.

Hi SWskier,
I'm glad you're back, and thanks very much for telling us you're absence was because of the pig flu. I'm glad you're better now.

And it's nice to know that the symptoms can be quite mild. How many days did you feel ill for, and are you still in China?
How do they diagnose it as pig flu?

Nelly,
I'm sorry your step-daughter has swine flu, but I'm most impressed at your low CO2 production camping holiday!
I hope you have a great time in Cornwall, and the sun shines every day.

I'm not having a summer holiday myself, because I'm too busy looking after our own holidaymakers, but I will get out and about during the day, especially now I've bought my own Tom Tom so I shouldn't get lost any more!

As a matter of fact Ian, we didn't get any money at all from the EU for planting them. My mother planted them about 30 years ago just because she likes trees as well. But if I buy more land to plant trees on, then I will try and get an EU grant for planting them. But getting grants isn't easy - there is a great deal of paperwork and you have to be able to tick all the right boxes to qualify.

I'm glad you like trees as well Dave Mac.

Anyone else thinking about going to Tignes?

And if we go, how do we decide which gear to try out? I don't know anything about ski gear.

We have planted several thousand trees here on our farm, and I'm considering planting a few thousand more. Trees are good. I like them.
