Awwwww Carona i`m deeply gutted for you,I can only imagine how you feel.
Its a personal choice as to whats the best thing to do,But i would probably go and try to have a good time for the sake of the kids.Never put your life on hold,The memories of your children having a good time will last forever,Its a small sacrifice to pay even tho its a pretty painful one.
Think positive and be brave and i wish you well in your recovery.x

There`s a shortage of ski mags in the uk,I used to get a mag called skiing uk and cant find it anywhere now.It was full of resort guides and the latest on new equipment. :cry:

Hi Carona,Looks like we have the same dilemma as to where to go.Although we (hubby ) and the kids love Niederau i long to try Canada or somewhere else the other side of the pond.But the last thing i want to hear from the kids first thing in a morning is ARE WE NEARLY THERE YET on our way to the slopes. :roll:
As you said i too am open to suggestions,Hopefully some of the crew will come up with a few suggestions.

Ok so here is my wish list,

Banff
Whistler or
Lake Louise

Which would be the best place to holiday with the kids aged 5 and 8.Preferably somewhere close to the piste and not having to trek miles.
My 8yr old has 5 seasons skiing behind him and my 5yr old has just had her first.
I`m open to suggestions as to any where else that might be appropriate in Canada and when would be the best time to go.

Ise, Bandit i couldnt agree more with the tour ops and commercialism aspect.
As for the pole planting a refresher lesson is on the list for my next trip.
The urge to stab and jab with the poles is a habit i alone cannot break,The desire to ski with finesse is now my priority.Besides aggressive skiing is so knackering or am i just now showing my age.
