Me too Helen, I still cant get my head around those people how dislike the sport :shock: or wont at least give it a try.
The ones i have managed to convert are hooked and cant get enough. :D
Then again if everyone went skiing look how busy it would get. :(

I first skied Niederau many years ago and have since introduced my family and friends to one of my favorite places,This is the 3rd visit in 3 years.
My son learnt to ski there as did my friends kids,This year my 5 year old daughter will have her first skiing lessons.
Last year we went to Bansko which was the pants ( sorry to those of you who like the place )ski school for the nips isnt very good so my hubby and i taught her the basic snowplough ect.
Jan your so lucky to live there,So i must remember to do the lottery tonight so i can buy the beautiful gasthof thats for sale in Auffach.( we can all dream )

The British weather is the pants,I live in Yorkshire and we used to get lots of the white stuff and now theres nowt as we say.

Its been some years since i skied switzerland, But the place was called melsayfruit ( at least thats how its pronounced) as for the spelling who knows i cant remember.
Anyhow i remember only the swiss seemed to know about it having had a conversation with a chap from zurich.
The swiss army had a winter base there in the vally of Stockalp.I remember no queues and wide open pistes.
Do you know of the place ise ?.
I would love to go again when my 5 year old is a tad better at skiing.

Seefelds a beautiful place as rose said,Theres lots to do off piste if she finds that skiings not her thing.
Or what about Niederau?Smaller village,Good ski school and you could ski Auffach on same lift pass.
The best thing is it wont blow your budget.
