Thanks for that Ally. We have decided to transit via Bristol to recover lost son then go up to Gatwick early and stay at a hotel. Never thought I'd be saying " thank goodness there is no more snow today"

Good luck to everyone traveling away today and I hope you all manage to get to your destinations. BUT above all....BE SAFE.
Thanks for that Tony  BUT the Weather forecast says it will be OK
Easyjet have just cancelled my sons recovery plan to Bristol from Newcastle today. Looked at all the options ....transfer to Exeter, straight to Gatwick, Trains and boats and planes (Is'nt that a song) Hope to rebook for tomorrow, collect him and then on to Gatwick for Monday morn. I'm sure it will be all OK :( (possibly)
Its Nine on Sat morning and have just heard that all European flights from Gatwick are cancelled between 10.00 and 1700. I do hope the problem with shifting the white stuff is sorted by early Monday morning :( :(
7 more sleeps for me then its off to Gatport Airwick  :)

According to the latest info learning another language is not at all difficult for us Brits. All you have to do is talk louder and with a bit of a french accent and they understand. (Times Thursday). So Goe hand geet sum lesoons.
Snow most anywhere at the moment. I'm off to Le Corbier on 20th and the base depth is already 85cm with more snow expected on Mon/Tues.
