Millions of stands trying to sell you a holiday, over priced gear, as Wickham says, it's the run up to Winter so no cracking discounts, a coach (an actual Coach) trying to advertise airport transfers(!) wanna be Ski dudes trying to sell you the latest ski's acting like they're the big man who knows everything about these skis and could Heli-Ski in Alaska, even though he only read the write up that came from the Ski manufacturer, so when you walk away from a ski that was over 100mm underfoot he acts like you're a beginner and he's god or something... AND a really rubbish Dry slope that people take WAY too seriously, I once sat an drank an over priced coffee watching a woman get annoyed because she couldn't ski on it (!) ... made the £4 I paid for my coffee worth it but that's about all

MMmmmmm I have been called Ian, Wickers and at times Mr Wickham but not since school have I been called "Wickham" so I am guessing that you must be a school teacher !!!

I tend to go cause it is the ski show but always come away dissapointed, you do not get a lot of bargains as it is the lead up to the ski season, you can get to meet up with other J2skiers to put a face to the name... sometimes.
Livigno Late November 2013

Livigno is one of my favorite places infact I am off there in 36 sleeps not that I am counting, accomodation is of a good standard plenty to do in the evenings but still quiet as it is a long spread out resort.
The skiing if you are an experienced skier is not really testing enough, typically Italy, Blacks are red, Reds are blues etc, one of the best ideas is to take in Bormio about 30 mins on the free bus with lift pass and also included on the Livigno ski pass and maybe St Moritz for a day which is included on the livigno ski pass for a day and a short drive through the Munt-la-schera tunnel.
My advice eat out it is reasonable priced and Bellavista in the Soroch area has the best pizza I have ever tasted ..... I normally stay in the soroch area.
Pick accomodation carefully to avoid busy ski buses you can find ski out ski in hotels but they are few and far between.
For further information feel free to PM with a few questions ..... the place is friendly with really good prices compared to resorts in France,Austria and Switzerland, and you get the best coffee and hot chocolate you have ever tasted.

We are visiting Canada in October 2013 and was wondering if we had any chance of seeing snow at that time of the year.
Visiting Vancouver and Banff areas.

From Australia.
Maybe we will be lucky.

it seems most of the history starts in November ... but who knows you might be lucky
