I am with far queue on this ..I have driven for the last 9 years ..as he says , these days it is so easy ..you have your chioce of hotels NOT in the tour operators brochure and I have used Hull /Rotterdam ..It is most convenient from where I am in Sheffield but it is expensive I have done Sheffield to Southern Belgium day 1 and then on to French resorts but whichever way I go it is still more pleasant than the VERY early morning start to an airpoit with limited luggage and a 3 hour coach trip at the end or an eyewateringly costly transfer to a resort ..especially if there is more than 1 of you We have found some really nice hotels at very reaonable prices this way and have had some really enjoyable trips ..I have done 1 trip 3 resorts in 3 weeks ..Next year I hope to do 4 to make up for this year ...

The only reason I would go back to La Ros is to ski in La Thuille,, If you are an intermediats skier it is limited even for a week

how did you come to go there and whats the skiing like

Even if we could go and Europe will let us in when we come back we might have to pay £800 just to get back in....I can't see it happening

Go on somewhere like Tripadviser and find any hotels that you fancy and go direct to their website or look just outside Canazei maybe up towards Alba ..the bus service is great or there is Campitello where I stay..all on the same route and 10 minutes apart ..I have found that most hotels dont really take bookings till later in the year anyway and there is usually space..the othere way is to go to the tourist office and put your enquiry to themjavascript:bbstyle(-1)
