According to reports in the Italian press, from 1 February to 15 March people traveling from List C countries, EU + CH will no longer have to take a pre-arrival test. No mention of List D counties i.e. the UK.
The validity of 1 and 2 dose vaccine certificates within Italy will be reduced to 6 months, but booster certificates will remain valid indefinitely. We will have to wait until the ordinance has been published to know for sure after which it will take them a day or two to update the English webpages on the Ministry of Health website. |

J2SkiNews, as I understand it as of 1. Feb. the EU are shortening the validity of vaccine certificates to 9 months (6 months + a 3-month grace period) after the administration of the last dose of the primary vaccination. For a single-dose vaccine, this means 270 days from the first and only shot. For a two-dose vaccine it means 270 days from the second shot. This is for the purposes of intra-EU travel and presumably travel the 3rd countries to EU countries.
As well this, some EU countries are also changing their requirements for their internal covid passes. In the case of Austria "to prove your "2-G" status during your stay IN Austria, from 1 February 2022, the validity of your 2nd vaccination will be reduced to 180 days. The booster jab remains valid for 270 days." France seems to be reducing the interval between the 2nd dose and the booster to 4 months https://www.service-public.fr/particuliers/actualites/A15121 |

On 24. Jan. the "Pass sanitaire" was replaced by the "Pass vaccinal" for people aged 16 and over. UK Covid-19 certificates have been accepted by the EU as being equivalent to the EU Digital Covid Certificate https://ec.europa.eu/info/live-work-travel-eu/coronavirus-response/safe-covid-19-vaccines-europeans/eu-digital-covid-certificate_en#recognition-by-the-eu-of-covid-certificates-issued-by-third-non-eu-countries click on " EU equivalence decisions" if you want to see the decision for the UK.
So, providing that your current vaccination certificate is no more than 270 days old (from 1. Feb. Covid vaccination certificates will only be valid for 270 days in the EU) your NHS Covid pass app / letter should work. As you will have show your Covid pass to use the lifts it would be a good idea to print out the QR code and laminate it, just in case your phone dies. If you want to check that everything is ok before you go you could install TAC Verif, the French governments Covid certificate verification app on another smartphone. The link provided by Tignes only applies to people "Not having been vaccinated in one of the following countries: European Union member states, Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Cape Verde, El Salvador, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Iceland, Israel, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Northern Macedonia, Moldavia, Morocco, Monaco, Montenegro, New Zealand, Norway, Panama, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, San Marino, Serbia, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Togo, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, or the Vatican." |

The ordinance issued by the Italian government on 14 December expires on 31 January, they may introduce new measures then. If anything changes the Italian version of the Italian Health Ministry webpage "Information for travellers" will be updated first, it usually takes them a while to translate it into English https://www.salute.gov.it/portale/nuovocoronavirus/dettaglioContenutiNuovoCoronavirus.jsp?lingua=english&id=5412&area=nuovoCoronavirus&menu=vuoto
It might also take a while for the UK and IRL government sites to be updated as I think the information is sent via the respective embassies. The Valle d'Aosta region has become the first Italian region to be classified as an orange zone, this means skier numbers will be restricted. The maximum numbers are 11,223 skiers in Cervinia, 6401 in Pila, 8399 in La Thuile, 6942 in Courmayeur, 408 in Valgrisenche and 199 in Ollomont. If the Covid situation worsens and the Valle d'Aosta is classified as a red zone the ski lifts will have to close. |

Many ski resorts started the season with fewer staff than normal. Lots of ski resort workers found better jobs when they were laid off due to the lockdowns. With so many workers currently in quarantine and isolation some bars and restaurants are having to reduce their menu, open for fewer hours or close all together and some of the lift companies are not able to open as many lifts /pistes as normal. The issue is further complicated by those who were able to work over Christmas / New Year amassing large amounts of overtime, which is compensated via time off. |

I wouldn't worry at the moment, March is a long way off. Currently your vaccination status fulfils all the requirements for the Super Green Pass.
Unless the Vento region is declared a red zone (it's currently yellow), which will shut down the ski lifts there are no government measures in place that I know of that could stop your trip going ahead. The only thing I can think of that would stop it is if you test positive when you get your entry test. |
