SKI ADVICE

Hi, I'm about to purchase a set of Atomic Affinity Storm skis for my wife.

Do any of you experts out there have any info on these or suggestions for an alternative.

Please assume that these skis meet her skill level/ability etc

Thanks

Agree with Andyoneil but would add that January in Canada is very very cold, if you buy a ski9 days out of 10 lift pass in Whistler/Blackcombe it will set you back at least £400 each!!.

If you look at major company's websites now it will give you a good idea of the type of last minute deals that are available at this time of year.

Late booking for Canada for this time of season
probably makes sense; I can't see the World economy improving much before then anyway

If you want a package look at something like Skiworld but if you want to book direct on self-catering basis look at Whistler/ Blackcombe Tourist office website as they do have some brilliant all-in packages from time to time.

My last comments are that you will enjoy skiing in Canada but don't expect a cheap holiday - it won't be.

Hope this helps

Ski Boots

Tony-H is right, your boots should fit like carpet slippers, i.e. there should be no movement of your foot inside the boot but you need to be able to flex your knees.

If you have done that much skiing with your present pair, without replacing the linings then I would suggest they need replacing as most manufacturers give a life on their boots of 8 - 10 weeks.

Boots are critical to good/enjoyable skiing as they are the link between you and your skis!

Hope this helps

Hi, my wife skis on Atomic Metron 10s but finds the demo bindings too heavy, does anybody know of or have lighter bindings that would fit the skis. I would change the skis but she actually loves skiing on them as they are very steady particularly at speed. Thanks
