No need to do any of that to my house. I live in a road of 12 houses. It was a competition for up and comming architects to draw up plans for this road and who ever came up with the best would get the contract for the road, but they had to be energy efficient. The criteria was......family friendly, large garden, off road parking, double glazing, utility room, central heating, low maintenance, 4 bedrooms, large bathroom, soundproofed and very energy efficient. Hence why we have a flat roof, there was not enough money in the budget criteria left. But they are really warm, quiet, and our bils are half on what we were paying at our last house so wont have the need to do any insulating

My Dad had a major coronary many years ago, a bypass would have helped him but the heart was badly damaged so it was not suitable. He remains fairly fit, well as fit as a 77 year old can be. The only thing I know from him is that he feels the cold a lot more. He also does not cope too well with the heat either. So just to make sure he keeps really warm while skiing. But age is so much on Hubbys side. So glad to hear he's doing well. He does still suffer with angina but he had it bad before the coronary.

Ho hum.

Thats an easy one Dave. Egypt. The only place within reasonable travel distance (5 hour flight) where you can guarantee it will be warm. Canaries are volatile, Greece is often wet and windy, as for Venice....it will probably be flooded and you will be walking on planks (sounds familiar for users of this forum....)
Cyrpus is over priced if you ask me, and too full of chavvy Brits looking for somewhere to live.

HeHe that must be why my ex husband now lives in Cyprus
