Kiwi03 - very easy. Trains run every half hour from G'wald to either Grund and Kleine Schiedegg or to Zweilutshinen for Lauterbrunnen and Muerren/ Wengen. Ski Pass covers train and bus travel as far as Interlaken.

Another vote for SnowShepard's gloves. Wore 2 pairs alternately for 17 weeks last season and still unmarked/unworn. Breathable membrane works really well. I just proof them leather with Nikwax or dubbin.
So anyone booked their first trip yet?

Yup.
Tignes/Val d'Isere 2 weeks pre Xmas.
Lauterbrunnen for Muerren, Wengen, Grindelwald early Jan to early April.
Pralognan La Vanoise 2 weeks in mid Jan.
Flaine 1 week mid April.
Val d'Isere late April.
Phew - joy of having P45 nailed to wall!
Size small up to 315mm boot sole length, approx boot size 26.5 - 27.5 depending on make. My 25.5 boots are 296mm. Brake size 115mm. Good condition, no sideways play at toe piece. White/Red colour scheme.
And crampons 95mm wide.
These are good for those starting out ski touring and fine for up to 3 - 4 hours skinning.
I can supply accurate paper mounting template, which I have used on my own skis. Also readily available on line.
When I used them, the ease of switching to touring mode was really appreciated. Often one skis out of a descent along a valley bottom, and freeing the heel with a prod from the ski stick was very handy and made life that much easier compared to those who had to remove skis to achieve the same.
So much enjoyed freeing the heel, that I've now gone to Telemark all the time. So surplus in my cupboard.

£85.
Ladies on piste ski 2010. Used a few weeks. Just serviced, edged and waxed. Good condition. £100. Located Oxford. PM me.
Set of Salomon Z10 alpine ski bindings for sale. Used 4 weeks. Reason for sale - changed to touring bindings. Bindings currently in N France. Will bring back to UK 2 - 18 Feb and will be travelling Dover - Devon - Oxford - Dover areas. £50.
I have a BlackBerry Curve 3G and have just looked at OnTheSnow and selected the 4 resorts I am interested in - Tignes, Courmayeur, Flims and Lauterbrunnen. Looks to be quite good.
Roaming data cost is not a problem - £15 for 30 days unlimited email worldwide. But as email is via the BlackBerry Internet Service this also includes www data and when I use it as a tethered 3G modem with my laptop. For the last 6 months I've been mostly abroad and use about 400mb on the phone and a further 500mb when as a 3G modem each month. No extra charge!!
