Hi,

There is some good skiing to be had in Tignes on the Grande Motte and also the Pissalais glacier above Le Fornet/Val D'isere in summer, and another that has a godd reputation is the glacier above Hintertux in Austria.

Espace Killy lift pass

:DHi Again,

Had an email from a lovely young lady called Nicola at Valdinet.com, and she informs me that the only discounts available are on the Season Passes ( 100 euro discount on a season pass, if the old one is returned) ,unfortunately for a normal 6 day pass there is no discount.

Will have to check for Les Arcs aswell as it's the same company that owns both lift systems

Hi here is the bus/coach link rom the GVA wbsite, to Aime and then up to La Plagne is 75euros

This is the info I heard aswell, hopefully the colder air will push further south and collide with the warm air off the Atlantic and this will happen right over Les Arcs and BsM if the gods are smiling....also across the whole of the alps aswell obviously :D :D don't want to hoard it all for myself :D

that would be just plain wrong...

:DHi,

Just had a reply from jonnycowbells on the Tripadvisor forum,as below..

Hi Jon,

As I recall, it's changed slightly with the hands-free pass introduction. I think they still offer a discount (maybe only 5%?) on 6 day passes, but you have to sort it out on-line in advance. I seem to remember my sister trying to sort it out at the STGM office in resort and they said she would have had to do it in advance of arriving.

Best bet for more info is probably to call the Maison de Tignes and check with them - they're a bit more approachable than the STGM!

Cheers,
Matt

Hope this is of some help :D

Hi,

Sounds like a logistical nightmare....so many bodies :D :D

Where airport are you using?

:DHi,

I guess this is the thought going through most of our heads at the minute......apart from where did i put that bar of Galaxy?????MMMmmmm :(

As I am not one of the global carbon warming climate footprint change zealots, I actually have a feeling that we will be in for a bumper year this season (mind you it seems to be the trend over the last couple of years),also with the jetstream being slightly more equatorial this year, this will mean that colder air should push further south than usual .

If my itch starts tingling this will be a good omen :D,will be in BsM at the end of the month or early November for a long weekend so will tap up the loacls for their weather predictions :D
