I stayed in the Ibis at Geneva airport, and it was fine, something like a Premier Inn or maybe a bit better, and it was 114 Swiss Francs per night per room for 2 people.

We have also stayed in a Mercure, which was much posher. I got our rooms on one of those discount websites and it was loads cheaper (£70 per night for a twin instead of £130).

Targets for the season

My targets are very simple:

a) Not to get hurt
b) Not to hurt anyone else
c) Not to get lost

Other than that, as long as I'm ski-ing I know I will have a good time :D.

Anything you need to know about Borovets

Twinners hired my daughter a damaged pair of skis and boots in La Rosiere, but when we took them back, they exchanged them for a lovely pair of roxy skis at no extra cost (I'd paid for cheaper skis), and the only problem I had then was getting them away from her at the end of the holiday!

I don't remember there being anything wrong with the skis and boots my kids hired in Borovets. They looked well used, that was all, whereas all the ones we hired subsequently in other places looked pretty new.

Tino,
I haven't been to Saalbach for 37 years. What's it like now?

Have fun :D

I guess it would depend on what you had in your pocket

Long transfer to Andorra, bring a neck cushion, try to sit in the middle of coach, less chance of being travel sick

Thanks for all the useful tips, especially the one about not taking your gloves off - I hadn't thought of that.

However, I get awfully travel sick, and if I ever have to go in a coach/minibus/car I always sit right at the front. I find the worst place to sit is at the back (I guess that's why the kids try to sit at the back in a roller coaster!).

Verglas,
The big tip Pablo gave me was to try 'preview' first each time, and then you don't have to keep editing it, or posting a new attempt. It took 10 edits to get my first photo up

Well done for getting it at your third attempt :D

If you're going from one room to another around the house and you're not in any hurry, don't walk - power lunge .
Yes, you may look silly and yes, mr-a and my boys laugh and roll their eyes at me but they'll be laughing on the other side of their faces when their quads hurt on the mountain

:D :D

I do leg stretches while I'm waiting for the microwave to go 'ping' when I'm re-heating my tea :D
