When I had my boots fitted in Les Arcs at new year he asked my weight - I told him him 52 kg "but I may have put on a few pounds over Christmas, ha, ha, ha". He said "absolutely non madam, ha, ha, ha" (as the French do). I fell about 21 hours later, skis did not release, I honestly believe the DIN was too high.

I've since figured out that 4 may be the best for me so I ask for it. I'm now obsessive about weighing us all before we travel. It could be the difference between injury or not.
Where am I?

My son's were stolen in 1800. Since then we've split the skis but now I'm doubting after Bandit's comment
We always take the extra insurance out.

If you have house contents insurance that will cover you for theft so long as you get a crime number, any holiday insurance company will ask if you have contents insurance when you make a claim and if you do they tell you that you have to claim off that policy

extremely kind of you. The way it worked for us was that the excess was only a tad less than what skiset wanted for the skis so it was easier to pay the lot. We also had a claim for me of about £1100 that was paid back so it seemed like a drop in the ocean

I'm now more confused than when I asked
Tahoe was the first place I looked but £2k per head is a tad excessive  Garda is on our list but thought it may be better for the two of us rather than with the boys? Is it in the mountains?
will look at every suggestion
