Oh yes, I am pleased to say that the rather super shades I had last season that i managed to get through a season without losing or breaking got lost in Santorini by Mrs H in June have been replaced. £50 they wanted for them in my local glasses shop.
But I found a guy selling the very same ones on Ebay for £12.99, so I bought 2 pairs as I know I am going to end up with 1 pair lost or broken.

2 for the price of half of one!

I have to try and find some shades to-morrow, just dropped mine out of my bag and stood on them. I need them for next week (I hope). Dont fancy my chances of getting any-thing decent in my lunch break
Tour ops - who uses which ones?

Used Crystal for the first ever ski trip. Rep did a bunk after the welcome meeting which left every-one up the mountain with no idea about where to get our gear fom or who our lessons were with. Crystal did compensate us for this.

Booked 5 more trips to Seefeld with crystal, fab hotel, great service, and the same rep who was brilliant.

Lapland with Inghams, great service, 3 really good reps of which one was always with you on the excusions and activities. Extra activities in Lapland half the price of Crystal, so have booked next years with them. Plus Crystal pulled out of Lapland.

For Summer hols, have been with Style (subsidary of Thomas Cook) great service, really good accomodation and lovely rep. Have booked again with Style for next week to Kefalonia, hope to get the same great service.

Inghams did exactly the same for us. It resulted in an extra £100 knocked off for us. Very pleased.
I'm raising a glass of Metaxa to you.

Why do you ski/board

It was never our intention to ski/board it came about by accident. We both love the snow and mountains and scenery. So when we booked our first 'snow holiday', we found that by doing so we could have a free learn to ski/board package. We did this and learnt to board, although abandoned the lessons and did it on our own. Ater that we were hooked on winter hols, and the next one did a ski and x country taster session. We then found it difficult as to which one we prefer so we do all three. I actually think this year will be our last year boarding, we will more concentrate on xcountry and ski.
I actually really enjoy x country, its more strenuous on the legs, its not at altitude, but the scenery, going through woods, across frozen lakes and sometimes around villages is what really attracts me. Plus x country in Finland we get to see so much wildlife its lovely.
When I choose a resort it wont be a big, busy resort. I dont care about the mileage, the height, the amount of slopes. My holiday will consist of good accomodation, preferably a log cabin on our own. I want to be able to do other activities as well, snowmobiling, sledging, husky riding, reindeer sleighing, snow shoe walking, bob sleigh and what ever else is on offer. We spend all day outside doing whatever and all I ask is a good resteraunt and good food and a couple of drinks and my holiday is complete.
