Ise,
Is it this one? And do you think it's possibly following the routes of pre-historic man?

http://www.visiteurope.com/Plan/Practical-Information/Traveller-needs/Backpackers

Path E4 starts in Tarifa, at the extreme southernmost tip of Spain. You'll walk northward, crossing Andalusia: it's your turn to marvel at the Alhambra in Grenada, Murcia, Ronda and its dramatic setting. Continuing higher still, in the route takes you to the Pyrenees, via Andorra and headed for France. Just follow your nose and you'll visit the sublime regions of Languedoc, the Cévennes, the Ardèche and the Rhône Valley en route to Switzerland, the crest of the Jura, and Lake Constance. In Germany and Austria you can choose between two paths; one is easier than the other. Both trails will lead you to Hungary. Here the trail is called "The Blue Route" and leads you all the way across the Hungarian countryside from the Austrian to the Slovakian border, passing by Budapest and Lake Balaton. A little tour in Bulgaria, across the mountains of Rila and Pirin, takes you to Greece. The path leads you across northern Greece to the central part of the country and onto the Peloponnesus. Along the way you'll be immersed the beauty of the Greek countryside and the cultural richness of the country, and have the opportunity to visit unforgettable sites such as the Meteora monasteries or the cities we all discovered in books read at school: Delphi, Corinth, or the ruins of legendary Sparta.
Are people on Snowblades really hated?

I wouldn't say I hate snowboarders, but they frighten me, because most of them keep falling over and seem to have very little control of their boards.

I hate it when I'm innocently ski-ing along and I hear that nasty scccccr sort of noise behind me , and I know it's another blasted snowboarder, who's very likely to crash into me and knock me flying. So I try and get out of the way as fast as possible.

And I also hate it when I'm ski-ing behind one on a very narrow piste, and I know if he/she falls over there's nowhere for me to go and I'm going to smash into them. Hence I always try and give them a very wide berth. And I try not to get on a chair lift with them, because they behave in a very odd way when they get off at the top.

Most of all, I hate it when they lose their board, and it comes rocketing down the mountain like a javelin straight for me

The people who 'ride' them seem quite like 'normal' people when I talk to them once they've returned to the normal bipedal state.

Perhaps the problem is that there are an awful lot of bad snowboarders on the slopes. I don't have any problems with the skillful sort, who wouldn't dream of crashing into me, any more than I would be likely to crash into them. We co-exist together quite happily on the slopes :D

it was 7 out of 15 where bad years in january. so thats just over 50% chance of snow. thats why im going change it :D do you get anything in your holiday insurance giving you money back for no snow? lol and do you get your skiing lessons refunded because ya should really. how you going learn ski with no snow? :S

Sm4sh,
Some of the resorts will give you a snow guarantee (but only the ones that always have enough snow, like Val Thorens in France). I'm afraid Borovets doesn't fall into that category though

94% chance of enough snow sounds much better to me than 47%, so I reckon it's well worth changing the date :D

Where are you going (presumably somewhere with some snow!). Sorry but I can't remember - I think I have early onset senile loss of memory :D

I think he's going to Megeve

Have a happy holiday!

Thanks Salski,
Why's he going to Megeve? To check out the prices so Pablo and Tony will stop arguing about it, or what? :D

And what's Megeve got to do with LgB (I really hate all these acronyms for everything - I get so confused) Where IS LgB?

Ally (totally confused - and no, I'm not 3,500 metres up a mountain, unfortunately, I'm at home in my cave)

Have you changed the date yet? According to Snowbandit's historical snow information you should have a 92% chance of having enough snow to ski on if you go on the later date - only one really bad year from '96 to 2008 :D

Ally

It's the last 16 years, so from 1993/1994.

Snowbandit,
Thanks, that makes the odds even better (15/16) - 94% chance of enough snow for Sm4sh and his missus to ski on :D :D

What were the odds like for his original date in January?

Mostly mid to late twenties, so yes, they are too old for me. Both No 1 and No2 are good skiers, and thats all the qualities they need.

You mean born in the mid to late twenties? :D

Dave,
You could also turn it into an instructional video on how to 'pull' :D
