Ski Service Costs in France
Started by User in France, 12 Replies
Dave - I had a very good service done by the ski shop just at the bottom of the Chatelet and (new) Floria chairs - the main lifts up from the bottom of Chinaillon village. It was a couple of years so no idea of the price - sorry - but do remember that I was very happy as my skis had been in a bit of a state at the time... 8)
present weather

We (all of us, and the weather forecast models) are all just waiting for the current High Pressure system to get bored and clear off.

Maybe if all the J2Skiers in the mountains could synchronize watches and, at an allotted time, all yell "sod off" that would generate enough hot air... 8)
There's been little change since last week, as most of Europe has been sitting under a High Pressure system - keeping things generally cold and dry.

Weather and Snow Next Week

The serious cold of the last week will ease over the next few days, as temperatures adjust toward their seasonal average (it will still be fairly cold - it is January).

There's not much precipitation showing in the immediate forecasts, as the various models are trying to guess when the High will begin to move off. At present there looks to be a chance of some activity in the second half of the month but exactly when the weather will break remains to be seen.

On the bright side, it is going to be mostly clear and cool and the current snow pack should hold up well.

Mate's just got one - really stunning picture and decent built-in sound. Visit a few shops and see it next to some of your other candidates, but I doubt you'd be disappointed.

50 mill? You can probably get your own ski resort for that... hmmm... where's that Nigerian number...

Not a Chamois... but saw this impressive looking fella by the side of the road on the Col du Lauteret two years back...

He was almost close enough to touch and didn't seem bothered about us stopping next to him - although with those horns he's probably not too bothered about anything much... 8)
