I you live near London you could go by train...opens up lots of options and doesn't limit the stuff you take. We went to Sauze D'oulx in late Dec. Station is only 10 mins from the slopes...its cheap and has extensive blues top cruise.

As a relative beginner go somewhere within budget, within your capability but mostly somewhere where you will enjoy the thing we all love. Go somewher with lots of blues close to base you you can ski home to the bar....job done

BUT when you get to my age and crash and burn it hurts so much!!! and it takes longer to mend. But I do like thetrill of trying something that is going to make me look damn silly :mrgreen:
