Keep your chin up...I sort of agree with Trenchers solution but substitute meditation with gin.
Think of all the great times you have had, are still having and will have in the future. Life is full of ups and downs...quite like skiing really. I guess compared with some your problems are small and fleeting but just get you when you just don't need them. Life will be better tomorrow.....when you look out of the window at the snow and think of the fun ahead. Keep smiling ) |

What make you think that "forked lightening" is the only dangerous type. Bet you would die if you were hit by sheet lightening as well. Also I have been hit in a aircraft by lightening and it made a very nice hole in the tail. "St Elmos fire" is usually very pretty....a sort of pink aura surrounding you BUT can cause catastophic electrical failure to an a/c IF there is any "earthing" around such as really heavy rain and high humidity and you are relatively close to the ground. This is one of the reasons A/c are not generally allowed to land in heavy thunderstorms where lightening is a threat...the results could be "shocking"

Do what I did...Get a group together using one of the skiing forums...the one I used began in N. WE...all 18 single souls who are either married (OH hates skiing or no hols), singles....(sad with no one to ski with) and a few others are off to Serre Che on the 4th Feb. Its dead easy...you decide the venue , pair them up...they pay for themselves...meet at Gatwick...Job done.

I am not so sure. It was not that long ago the rate was about 3:2 ie 1.60 and we were still exporting to the EU then. I see the Euro weakening more until the Greek, Portuguese, Irish, Spanish and Italian situation sorts itself. If they all go the Euro will probably collapse and they will all return to the Deuchmark and Franc ). If it get stabilised I expect the rate to sort itself around what it is now....there is little confidence in the money markets re the euro at present. |
