Must add it was a great weekend, hopefully be another J2Ski camping trip this summer. Looking over the fields to the cows seemed to increase with the amount of alcohol consumed ;-)

Yes, the Chateau Snapzzz was very nice, and despite my preconceptions the jacket spuds were very good!

BUt why is it after 20 (ish) years of life - we still take too much meat for a BBQ. It was a meat fest- I think we all went to bed with the meat sweats. Or was that caused by my head sweating due to sitting outside a pub for 4 hours with no suncream on my balding forehead?
Next season ......

Morzine is part of a big European road trip. Driving to Spa for the Grand Prix then on to morzine and back home via Reims staying in a big posh chateau.

Should be a good summer :)

In fact I'm just back from my first beach holiday so the skiing is a distant memory.

So you've done your beach holiday already? Time to go (summer) skiing then!

No self-respecting skier should be taking any more than one beach holiday, surely... 8)

In august I will be on ski slopes, chairlifts and hopefully bluebird days. Morzine in the summer is a great place :)
Anyone a non-helmet enthusiast?

Eh? Not trying anything. Banter. I remember when you took part in it. I suppose you are focussing on getting your bases fixed?

That is not number four, simple question?

Banter ;)

But where is your off piste footage? Aren't you allowed to have footage on the intermediate lessons? I also guess you don't want people hearing the sound if stones on your bases. That would make difficult watching ?

I'll see if I can find some for you after my mate returns from Switzerland in September.

Don't bother, just use some of the go pro footage of yours from this year ;)

The resort looks nothing like that.

Hint: Put the map in the bin and find your own way round!
Recommend me Val Thorens apartments.

Like anything, depends what you want.

I have stayed at the Montana apartments, very nice but bit pricey http://www.vmontana.com/uk/residence-val-thorens.php

I have also stayed at Cheval Blanc. You say the reviews are not very good, stayed there with dad and had a really good time there. Are you going as a family or just you and the other half? Makes a difference

Bit of a broad brush statement saying that it is a rowdy resort. Where were you staying when you experienced the rowdy noise first hand as you said when you were there it was great.

There is one strip at the top of the town that has a load of pubs on. The accommodation there is pretty basic so you would not be there anyway ;)

When I was there in January, we where about a 5 min walk walk this horrendous rowdy area and did not hear a thing ;) It is about as rowdy as Sauze mate :)

DO NOT stay at Residence Valset. It is horrific!! http://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/ShowUserReviews-g196716-d1142265-r123562139-Residence_le_Valset-Val_Thorens_Savoie_Rhone_Alpes.html#REVIEWS
