Well hello there and welcome to the forum.

I was in Passo last year (March) snowboarding - cant remember the price of the lift passes so cant help out there unfortunately. I am sure you will be able to find it on t'interweb somewhere

I stayed in the hotel Eden which was an experience to say the least. The service was friendly beyond belief, the hotel manager was a great guy the hotel was always clean and nothing to complain about....However (there is always a however isnt there!)

The doors have carpet on the back of them - I know I drink a lot when I go out, but I have never felt the need to walk vertically up a door - maybe the italians are different?

The food? Well I am sorry to say that is it very average. Breakfast is what you would expect - continental with some odd cakes that actualy taste ok. But evening meal - that was awful. Cold meat (that is meant to be hot), cold veg, cold soup etc etc. I was forced to going to a local pizzeria at night - fantastic place and not that expensive (last year when teh Euro was more sensible). It is at the top of a short hill out of the main village - last year it was sheet ice which is great fun in shoes at the end of a drunkern night.

Me and my OH had a good time in Passo, the beer helped a lot.

The hotel might have changed now, but if not take your slippers for the carpeted doors

Have fun!

As I have just said to a lad here in work "I dont go on holiday to save money" If a beer was a fiver a pint I would still sup the same amount and then re-mortgage when I get home.

Here in Manchester (the bigish smoke) a pint will cost about £4 - that is not seen as unreasonable (i know I am contradicting myself, but I have now reflected after 6 coffees in 2 hours this morning :) ). Lets all go away and pay what we have to.

There are bigger things to worry about - if the bar is 5 deep to get served do I order 3 or 4 beers each to make it worthwhile the wait?

I was joking about Tesco Value - I am more of an ASDA Smartprice man

Got a friend in Sainte Foy, beer €4.50, Jaeger €2.50... are there any other drinks? Could someone please enlighten me

I think that is pretty reasonably priced?

 Reasonable at €4.50? You are obviously not a typical (*cough* tight) scot then? That is the equivalent of £4.04 a pint......not reasonable I reckon. I will be stuffing my case full of tesco value lager
